Dear br havend hear from you for some time decided to drop you a fiew lines We ar well I received a leter from sister permeley a fiew day a go staten that war all well except one of hur daughters which has the sloe fever tho getting along verry well We ar having a good deal or rain it rain 4 days & nights last week and has dammage cotton a good deal sprouting I the boles of corse whar the bole is partley open is rottening We hav had 4 day clear weather up to last night is raining to day the prospect is for a nother raney spell if it does cotton ruin to a great extent in this part of the country My sugar cane is fine potatoes fine & cotton was verry good tho dammage by two much rain from what I see in the papers I fear you all in Tex hav short crops cotton inperticular tho cotton is a good price 13 cts & ___ corn 65 cts bus hoping to hear from you ____ how you ar all getting along.

"Gibslan La Sept 14, 1915 S. H. Wade & family der Bro With pleasure I write you a fiew how is times with you and health of you & family We ar up well except on I am not in verry good health I am botherd a good deal latly with smothern spells I received a leter from Sister permely a fiew days and staten they war all well except hurself & thear Son staten hur health was still improving I hav not heard from home for some time I writen to Bob a day or so ago & hav three leters & have not receive an answer yet from him times seem to be geting beter as prices of cotton ar going up ever day hear worth hear today 10 cts I have 5 bales on hand I helt over from last year I dont know how many I will have this year as hav not haer much pick yet I did not hav onley about 10 acres planted this last sprir have a verry good crop of corn riben can and peas mad to make a fine crop of oats thar has not as much cotton planted hear this year as hav bin by on half and a great deal more corn peas can sogrum & all kinds of feed stuff doping to hear from you soon is often as ever yours.
