Note From a letter written by Judy Waite (a descendant of Missouri Ora (Hagewood & John Calvin Walker):

"..... I located in the Ark City Traveler Ora's funeral notice. She did die here in Arkansas City, KS. The only thing is the death date that is shown in the WFT that I locate is her funeral date. Maybe this is going to also be the death date. Have gotten ahold the mortuary to see if they have a record of it (this mortuary is still here and operating under the same family) But Ora wasn't buried here she buried in Oklahoma City.

The article reads: Funeral Rites Held For Mrs. Ora Walker
Funeral services for Mrs. Ora M. Walker were conducted at 10:30 o'clock Friday morning in the chapel of the Jess Rindt Mortuary. The Rev. Herbert T. Beatty officiated.
The vocalist was Guy Curfman accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Jesse Rindt. The body was taken to Oklahoma City where burial services were held at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon at Fair Lawn cemetery.

This ties in with what my dad told me about receiving the phone call after they returned home (Calif) from visiting out here. I remember Daddy said that he ask them to wait (his aunts -Ora's daughters) to bury her until we got there and he was out the door as soon as he hung up the phone. He drove start back only stopping for gas and bite of food and when got here they had not waited and she had been buried 3 days prior to his arrival.

I checked up the calender for Nov 30, 1945 and found that it was on a Friday so this is why I now wonder if the date is Nov 30 for her death or if it's her funeral date (the date I found in this listed WFT) Hopefully I'll have a answer from the mortuary that will show if it was the death or funeral.1
