KIN OF LINCOLN WILL BE BURIED AT GREENWOOD

Funeral services for Frank Babbitt, age 80, 1145 West New York Street who bore a remarkable resemblance and asserted he was a second cousin of the great Emancipator, will be held at 10 a.m. Fridayin the Farley Funeral Home. Mr. Babbitt died Tuesday in City Hospital after an illness of two months. Burial will be at Greenwood.

Explaining his relationship to the civil war President, Mr. Babbitt once told a correspondent for the Indianapolis News, 'My grandmother and Lincoln's mother were sisters and my father and Lincoln were cousins. Lincoln's mother and my grandmother, Nancy Babbitt, were born on Glen'sCreek in Woodford Co., Ky.'

Babbitt, who was six feet and two inches tall before he suffered an injury to his hip several years ago, said he had always been told by the family that he ' looked like Abe.'

Born in Frankfort, Ky. not far from his grandmother's home, Mr. Babbitt had been a resident of Indianapolis for sixty-seven years. He was a carpenter. A sister living in Terre Haute, is the only survivor.
