His mother died when he was just a few days old and his fatherdied thee months before he was born,maybe in prison. I think his mothercould have been Elizabeth Ann Lucas Smith as I found records in Frankfortwhere she died Mar.18, 1884 from 'Child Bed' 'Child Birth' and this gaveher father as Jno Lucas. BUT WHO was her husband? Joshua married MelindaJane Rodgers,daughter of Andrew Jackson Rodgers date unknown.These are mymother grandparents and gt.grandparents. I am trying to find thisinformation for my mother. She is 78 years old and very ill and hasalways wondered about who they was. I will appreciate any information andwill be glad to pay any one for copies of anything they might have orwill be willing to find for us. Joshua and Melinda had at least twochildren , Mintie and Lonny. Mintie married Theodore Watson. Thank you somuch for yout time and I will be glad to share what little information Ihave with anyone.
