He enlisted for theSpanish-American War. Approximately 1906 he applied for and received adisability pension from the veterans department. The 1920 census showedhim in Louisville with his mother, then 80 years old, Augusta. I believehe was accepted into the Veterans Home in Dayton in 1923. My guess wasthat Augusta had died by then. I believe he was transferred to MountainHome Veterans' Hospital in Tennessee in 1929. He died there about 1945.Ancestry has his request for disability among its Civil War records.
