this my last will in the following manner, viz ~ I recommend my soul to

And as to what worldly Estate I am in possession of I dispose thereof in

Imprs. I will that all my Just debts and funeral expenses be paid ~

Item. I will that all my Estate be sold on twelve months credit and the
money arising from such sale (after allowing my son George Mason twenty
seven dollars, for his trouble and expenses attending the distribution
of my husbands estate, as also that of my own formerly given up to my
children) ~ to be equally divided between all my children That is to say
to my son Smith Mason one ninth part, To my son Benjamin Mason one ninth
part, ~ to my Son George Mason one ninth part, ~ to my Son James Mason

Note-ShackelfordJames S Mason James S. Mason died in MO and left a will leaving everything to Mary thenif and when she died, it would go to his brother Benjamin. If he is thefather of Elizabeth and John then why wouldn't he leave anything to them?

Know all men by their presents that I James Mason of the County of Pettis& State of Missouri do make this my last Will and Testament: After payingall my just debts I give to my beloved wife Mary during her widowhood allmy estate both real and personal, to be held by her as her property andat her death or marriage to be equally divided between her and the heirsof my brother Ben Mason, at her death if she dies my widow, it goes tothe heirs of Ben Mason. The other half, I want T.W. Gresham and RobertStevens to manage my estate: this 21 April 1862.
