Thomas Eugene Hester, age 72, of Toledo, Ohio, formerly of Saginaw, Michigan and Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at the University of Toledo Medical Center. Tom was born October 23, 1937 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Dr. Eustace G. and Anna Pope (Bland) Hester. He graduated in 1955 from Arthur Hill High School, Saginaw and received an Electrical Engineering degree from Indiana Institute of Technology, Fort Wayne, IN. He then worked for Triad-Utrad in Huntington, Indiana. He is survived by five children, Jennifer Hester, West Jefferson, North Carolina, Michelle (Alan) Edwards, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Sara (Douglas) Bruin, Noblesville, Indiana, Tracey (Daniel) Wierzba, Dayton , Ohio and Kevin J. Hester, Orlando, Florida; eight grandchildren, Nicholas Edwards, Stephanie Edwards, Ambia Boltz, Alison Edwards, Teric Dudley, Alex Edwards, Opal Accetta and Katlyn Wierzba; two brothers, William (Bogda) Hester, Germany, Georg! e (Gail) Hester, Frankenmuth, Michigan; a sister, Jane (Kenneth) Thomas, Oxnard, California as well as several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will take place 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2010 at W.L. Case & Company, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Dr. Robert L. Emrich will officiate with entombment in Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
