    FRANKFORTLeo Nash Slattery, 84, died Wednesday, October 18, 2006, at his residence. Born in Franklin County on May 22, 1922, he is the son of Linnie M. Nash Slattery and the late Oscar C. Slattery.
    He was a truck driver and diesel mechanic and retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation in 1985. He was a life member of VFW Post 4075, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, the American Legion, and a charter member of the Kentucky Genealogical Society.
    He is survived by his wife, Ramona Sudduth Slattery; son, Phillip L. Slattery, Corpus Christi, TX; daughter, Sarah Ellen Hunsaker, Frankfort; son-in-law, Stephen S. Hunsaker, Frankfort; Grandsons, Stephen Tyler Hunsaker and Keenan Scott Hunsaker, both of Frankfort; his mother, Linnie M. Slattery, Frankfort; brothers, Curtis Slattery and Willie Joe Slattery, both of Franklin County, and Nelson C. Slattery, Shelby County. He was preceded in death by his father, his sister, Elizabeth Rosella Watts, and an infant sister, Sarah Frances Slattery.
    He is also survived by nephews, Tommy Watts, Donald C., Eddie C., Gary and Danny Wayne Slattery, all of Franklin County; Mark Slattery, Shelby County; William Watts, Louisville; Stephen Slattery, Nashville, TN; Scott Slattery, Scottsdale, AZ; and nieces, Lisa Aldridge, Shelby County; Jackie Knarr and Vicki Slattery, Frankfort and special friends, Christopher Gillespie and Joseph Mattingly.
    Bearers will be Tommy Watts, William Watts, Donald C. Slattery, Eddie C. Slattery, Gary Slattery, Bobby Aldridge and Mark Slattery.
    Honorary bearers will be Marcus Nash, Eugene Lindsey, Oscar S. Hazelett, and members of VFW Post #4075.
    Services will be conducted at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Saturday at one oclock by Rev. Ronnie McKinney. Burial will be at Frankfort Cemetery.
    Flowers are welcome, but expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass/Frankfort Office, 208 Steele Street, Frankfort, Ky 40601.

    Ada Mae Sudduth Mitchell, 84, of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Frankfort, Ky., died Thursday at Ed White Hospital in St. Petersburg. A native of Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late Sylvester 'Bud' Sudduth and Sally Young Sudduth and widow of James Howard Mitchell. Survivors are three sons, Vernon Lee Mitchell and Melvin Ray Mitchell, both of St. Petersburg, and James E. Mitchell, Watauga, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Burial in Bagdad Cemetery.
