DEATH OF MRS. HARROD -- Mrs. Miranda B. Harrod, 72 years old, died Thursday evening, November 8, at 9:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Peffer, who lives at the Shipp place, just outside the city limits. Mrs. Harrod's home was in Covington, but she had been visiting Mrs. Peffer since August. She is survived by her husband, J. W. Harrod, five daughters, Mrs. James Peffer, of Paris; Mrs. Charles Werst, of Sidney O.; Mrs. James Collins and Miss Arvilla Harrod, of Silver City, N.M., and Mrs. A. B. Harrod, of Covington, and one son, L. P. Harrod, of Cincinnati. Funeral services were conducted at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Peffer Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, by the Rev. R. C. Goldsmith, pastor of the Baptist Church, and the burial was in the Paris cemetery. The pallbearers were five grandsons and one nephew, Alfred, Arthur and Newell Peffer, Allen Harrod, Jr., Douglas Harrod and Humphrey Harrod. November 7 Mr. and Mrs. Harrod had been married 50 years.
