    Henry County Local--December 28, 2005

    Ernest 'Skinny' Peyton, age 95 of Bethlehem, died Monday, December 19, 2005 at Jewish Hospital Shelbyville. He was the son of the late Ben and Elizabeth Purvis Peyton, member of Pleasureville Baptist Church and a school bus driver and custodian for Henry County school system for over 30 years.

    He is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Richard (Joyce) Dills and Mrs. Jr. (Kaye) Heightchew, both of Eminence; Mrs. Roy (Carolyn) Aldridge, Pleasureville; four sons: Bradley Peyton, Shepherdsville; Marshall Lee Peyton, Franklinton; David Peyton, Eminence; Darryl Peyton, Bethlehem; 17grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren and one step great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel P. Peyton, one daughter, Linda Beutel, two grandchildren, five brothers and three sisters.

    Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 22 at Sholar Funeral Home, Pleasureville. Rev. Hayward Yeary, pastor of New Vision Fellowship Baptist Church officiated, assisted by Rev. Jacky Newton, pastor of Franklinton Baptist Church. Interment was in Point Pleasant Cemetery.

    Honorary pallbearers were the grandchildren.

    Pallbearers were Glen Aldridge, Waldo Simpson, Robert Thurman, JorgeTorres, Jason Warner and Dino Wells.

    Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice of Louisville and Crusade for Children.
