    William Lister McGaughey, 88, of Shelbyville, died Saturday, October 28, 2006.

    He was preceded in death by a daughter, Roberta McGaughey Howe; sons Lloyd Jefferson McGaughey and Leon McGaughey; sisters Christine McGaughey Cook and Annie Evelyn McGaughey Whitehouse; and a brother, Stanley McGaughey.

    He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Alberta Lawrence McGaughey; daughters Darleen Jones and Kathie McGaughey, both of Shelbyville, and Sharon Scrogham, of Frankfort; sons Dale McGaughey, of Mount Washington, and Lonnie McGaughey, of Mount Eden; 25 grandchildren; and 38great-grandchildren.

    The funeral is 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, at Webb Funeral Home. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.
