    Obituary

    EVANSVILLE, Ind. Marjorie A. Schmidt, 85, of Evansville, passed away Thursday July 22, 2010, at Deaconess Hospital Hospice. She was born Feb. 12, 1925, to Vera (Bridwell) and Spurgeon Bohannon in Beech Grove, Ky.
    She was married May 1954 to Dr. Charles L. Schmidt, who preceded her in death Jan. 11, 2006. She was a former employee of Standard Oil of Indiana, where she worked for many years. She was a past member of the Indiana State Podiatry Medical Auxiliary, Charter Member of Oak Meadow Country Club, Volunteer for Welborn Baptist Hospital and participated in the Senior Olympics.
    She is survived by four daughters, Karen (Kevin) Cantner of Evansville, Anita (Wayne) Luigs of Evansville, Jane (James) Cruise of Mt. Vernon, Ind., and Brenda (James Michael) Mobley of Evansville; five grandchildren, Jaclyn and Jennah Cantner, Kristy Luigs, James (Valerie) Cruise and Cameron Mobley; one sister, Earline Johnson of Owensboro, Ky.
    Private services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, where entombment will take place.
