C. E. Fairman officiating. Flower attendants were Mrs. Frank Seeman, Mrs. Earl Smock, Mrs. Lewis Dellarocco, Mrs. Floyd Sheffield, Mrs. William Briscoe, Miss Betty Williams, Miss Betty Ridlen, Miss Beverly His and Miss Patty Hix. Serving as pallbearers were Stanley Williams, Eldon LaBounty, Lee Willaims, Gale McGrew, Oliver Williams and Donald Ridlen. Glenn Townsley sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus," accompanied by Mrs. Fairman. Burial in Floral Hill. Those attending from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. John McGrew, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Ridlen, and son, Donald, Kokomo, Ind; Miss Betty Ridlen, Lafayette, Ind; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Smock, and son Jimmie, Paris; Gale McGrew, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Williams, Mrs. Earl Sanders, Jack Williams and Mrs. Don Wright, Indianapolis, Ind; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Williams and daughter, Sandra, Chicago; Oliver Williams and Mrs. Lewis Dellarocco, Hammond, Ind; Stanley Williams, Mokena, Mrs. Hattie M. Jan. 6, 1973 at Vermilion Nursing home in Danville, Illinois. She was born March 17, 1883 in Glasgow, Barren Co. , Kentucky. She was the daughter of J. G. Williams and Laura Ella Clark. She was married at Hoopeston, Illinois on August 26, 1904 to Andrew "Andy" Rudy, who died in 1952. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Earl (Mae) Smock of Hoopeston; three sisters, Mrs. Bert (Pearl) McKinney and Mrs. Elmer (Mabel) Hix both of Hoopeston and Mrs. Cecil (Nellie) Ridlen of Kokomo, Indiana, a grandson and three great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by two sisters and five brothers. Mrs. Rudy was a member of the Hoopeston Christian Church, the King's Daughter class of the church, Royal Neighbor's of Hoopeston and Maca Bee's Lodge. Services will be at 130 PM Teusday at the Hamilton-Orr Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ted Forbes officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery, Hoopeston, Illinois. Visitation will be from 6-9 Monday at the funeral home.1 |

| Note | | OBITUARY - Danville Ccommercial News - Monday, March 11,1935 Hoopeston: following several days illness with asthma Edward Williams, 45, died Sunday March 10, 1935 at his home, 313 East Seminary Street. Mr. Williams was born August 9, 1889 at Coral Hill, Ky. Son of Laure and the late James Williams. Surviving are the widow, Lucy; seven children: Lenora, Lee, Helen, Robert, William, Betty, and Edward Jr; his mother, nine brothers and sisters, William, Arthur, Elmer, Mesdames Andy Rudy, Edward LaBounty, Bert McKinney, and Elmer Hicks all of Hoopeston; Mesdames Cecil Ridlen and John McGrew both of Kokomo. Funeral services will be at 2pm Wednesday at the First Christian Church, the Rev. H G Elam and Howard Gould officiating. Burial in Floral Hill Cemetery. (NOTE- son William, true name is Billy, and son Edward, true name is Eddie.)1 |

Born November 11, 1891 In Glasgow, Kentucky. He was the son of James and Ella Clark Williams. He married Edna Ruth Wallace, September 11, 1912 in Watseka. She survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Inez) O'Drobiniak, one son James, both of Hammond, Ind. Five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, I pm at Hamilton Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Anderson officiating. Visitation is tonight, Monday, 7-9pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Floral Hill Cemetery. He was a member of the Hoopeston United Methodist Church. He retired from FMC in 1957 where he was employed for 51 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.1 |

OBITUARY- Hoopeston, Illinois - 1960 Former Resident dies Saturday Following Illness Mrs. Zela McGrew, former Hoopeston resident, passed away Saturday, Aug. 13 at 3:40 am in St. Joseph's Hospital, Kokomo, Ind. after an illness of two years, it was reported here today. Mrs. McGrew came to Hoopeston with her parents, the late James G. and Ella (Clark) Williams from Glasgow, Ky., when she was a young girl. In 1914 she was united in marriage to John H. McGrew who preceded her in death Nov. 26, 1946. She was a member of the First Church of Christ here. The McGrews moved to Kokomo, Ind. in 1920. She was employed by the Army Finanace Center, Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Indianapolis, Ind., at the time of her death. A member of Daughters of America, WWBM, World War 2 Mothers Club and the Women's Republican club, she is survived by a son, Major Gale I. McGrew of the US Air Force and a duaghter, Laura, now Mrs. Warren Hayes, Kokomo. Also surviving are a brother, J. Arthur Williams; five sisterrs, Mrs. Innes Rudy, Mrs. Essie LaBounty, Mrs. Pearl McKinney and Mrs. Mabel Hix, all of Hoopeston and Mrs. NeIl Ridlen, Kokomo; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Other than her husband and parents she was prededed in death by three brotherrs, Ed, Elmer and Bill, all of Hoopeston. Funeral Services were held Monday, Aug. 15 at 2:00 in the Fenn Funeral Home, Kokomo Ind. with the Rev. Whitaker officiating. Burial was conducted in Memorial Park Cemetery there.1 |

Mrs. Hix was a retired employee of American Can Company. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Beverly Hult of Wyoming, Mrs. Patty Anders, Danville, one grandson, Dennis Jerome, Hoopeston, three great grandchildren, one sister, Nell Ridlen. She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30pm Friday at Hamilton Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Wheeler T. Hadin officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the First Christian Church, American Cancer Society or Hospice Lakeview Foundation, Danville.1 |
