She was affectionately known to all as "Granny Gaines". She was preceded in death by her Parents, her Husband: Roy C. Gaines; 3 Sons: Roy C. Gaines Jr., James N. Gaines, Roy Wayne Gaines, a Great Grandchild: Gavin Kyle and a Brother Orville Cain. Survivors include her children: Barbara G. Nichols (Donald), Cathy Gaines-Durham and Linda Gaines Nash; 10 Grandchildren: Jeanna Gaines, Jessica Gaines, Jeremy Gaines, David Nichols (Heather), Douglas Nichols, Kimberly Nash, Roy Nash (Christy), Ashlee Gaines Friedman, Cristin Durham, & Candace Durham. 12 Great Grandchildren: Drake, Dyllan, Zach, Ramone, Austin, Isabel, Riley, Dallas, Douglas, Anastasia, Cheyenne, Layla. 3 Sisters: Lucille Mitchell, Wilma Yeary, Loyce Cook. A Life Celebration will be held 7:00 PM Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. Visitation will be Friday 12 PM - 8 PM. She will be taken to Frankfort, KY for Funeral Services at 12 Noon Saturday (3/20/2010)at the LaCompte-Johnson-Taylor Funeral Home, 1725 Louisville Rd. Frankfort, KY, with burial to follow in Frankfort Cemetery. Visitation at Frankfort will be 10 AM - 12 Noon Saturday.5 |
