Roy L. Sheets

Roy L. Sheets, 76, 712 Cline Street, died at his home 6:00 p.m. Saturdayfollowing a long illness.

He was a native of Franklin County, born here July 6, 1888. He had lived in Franklin County all of his life and was a retired carpenter and contractor. He was a member of the Peaks Mill Christian Church.

Surviving him are wife, Mrs. Ethel Eastman Sheets, Frankfort; five daughters, Mrs. Thomas Dempsey, Mrs. Lester Clark, Mrs. Raymond Bibble, Mrs. Douglas Rhody, all of Frankfort, and Mrs. Gene Post, Half Moon Bay,California; three sons, Roy Sheets, Jr., John Sheets, both of Frankfort,and Eugene Sheets, U.S.A.F., Panama City, Fla; 19 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The body is at the Harrod Brothers Funeral Home pending arrangements which will be announced later.

Friends may call at the Funeral Home after 8 o'clock this afternoon.2

In the name of God Amen. I, Benjamin Sheets of the County of Franklin,State of Kentucky of sound mind & memory, this my last will andtestament, hereby making void all other wills previously made.
1st I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Lena (?) Sheets all my realand personal estate, of which I am now in possession, during her naturallifetime.
2nd I give to my beloved grandchildren; Rachel and Polly Moss the same asthere father would have been entitled to and each is to have one bed andbedding.
3rd I give unto my beloved sons, Charles, Granville and Samuel Sheetsone horse each to be worth fifty dollars, the same as my other sons,John, Benjamin, Martin, and Henry Sheets have received.
4th I give unto my step-sons, Reuben Ford and Alexander Moss one shillingeach to be paid by my executor upon my decease.
5th It is my wish that my beloved wife and children pay unto Mr. John J.Crittenden the just sum of thirty eight dollars with interest from thedate of this my last will and testament.
6th It is my further wish that, after the death of my beloved wife, allmy children except, Reuben Ford and Alexander Moss have an equal share ofall that my wife my have in her possession at the term of her death.
