In each record of Marion Waltrip's it says he is from SmithCo., VA. I can't find Smith Co. but there is a Smyth. and I can't findvery many Marion Waltrip's in the US that are the right age except forthis James M Waltrip below from Smyth Co., VA. I found a few things on the Waltrips but they're very confusing. The1850, 1860 and 1870 census show Phebe living in Smyth Co. but her lastname in each census is Waltrip not Johnston.
