    Elijah Milford Hockensmith, 98, died October 8, 1989 at King's Daughters Memorial Hospital in Frankfort. A Shelby County native, he was the son of the late Daniel and Emma Perkins Hockensmith and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Alice Colston Hockensmith of Frankfort; two sons, William Hockensmith of Springfield, Missouri and Leroy Hockensmith of Sacramento, Calfiornia; three daughters, Anna Louise Roberts of Louisville, Loraine McKnight of Nashville, and Mildred Smith of Clarksville, Indiana; and sixteen grandchildren. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Woodford County, Ky.
