    Joseph Norbert Mahoney
    MAHONEY JOSEPH NORBERT, of Houston, Texas, passed away suddenly on Monday, November 14, 2005, at the age of 74. He was born April 18, 1931, in Louisville, Kentucky to Charles Julian and Agnes Marie Kippes Mahoney. Mr. Mahoney received his Masters degree and was a Catholic Priest. After twelve years in the priesthood, Mr. Mahoney chose to become a layman. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Paul. Mr. Mahoney is survived by his loving wife, Silvia; daughter, Melissa; sons, Norbert and Paul; sisters, Carol and Mary Agnes; brothers, Tom, David and Loyd; grandchildren, John Connor, Matthew Joseph and Annie. A Mass ofResurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, November 19, 2005, at 12:00p.m. at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church, 13350 Ashford Point Drive, with Rev. Tom Rafferty, Celebrant. Friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, November 18, 2005, from 5 - 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. For those so desiring memorials may be made to St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church, where he was a member of the St. Justin Martyr Hispanic Choir.

A native of Franklin County, he was retired from King's Daughters Memorial Hospital and was a member of the Church of God. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Lee Goodrich of Woodford County; two sisters, Mrs. Flossie Gehr and Mrs. Bessie Barnes of Louisville; a brother, Herbert Quire; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be Monday at Rogers Funeral Home, Frankfort. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Woodford County, Kentucky.
