Mr. Riddle was a native of Shelby and ason of the late William and Annie Finney Riddle. He was well known herewhere for eighteen years he was in the garage business. Mr. Riddlewas a member of the Shelbyville Christian Church and a gentleman whocommanded and held the respect of all. A good husband and father, kindand loyal friend and neighbor. Mr. Riddle will be pleasantly rememberedby all. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Daisy Bell Riddle; twodaughters, Mrs. Edward Stratton, Lubbock, Tx ; and Mrs. William Bohannon,Jr, Shelbyville; 2 sons, William W. Riddle, St. Matthews and James D.Riddle, Lakeland, Ga; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. JohnMiller, Shelbyville; Mrs. Jessie Clampett, Cincinnati, Ohio; Mrs. HowardBramlett, Harrod's Creek; and Mrs. Irvin Huffman, Lexington; 3 brothers,Ernest Riddle, Brandenburg; L. M. Riddle, Shelbyville; and George Riddle,Carlisle. Funeral services conducted 10:30 a.m. Monday fromHall-Taylor Funeral Home by Rev. Raymond Lawrence. Interment followed atGrove Hill Cemetery.
