On leaving political life,Eileen became affiliated with the American Red Cross and was with thegroup who went into Japan at the same time General MacArthur took over.It was in the Orient that she met her husband, Paul Kraus, then a Majorin the Army. He was the Officer directing the details that capturedTokoyo. At the time of her death, Paul was a Colonel in the inactivereserve. He was a geologist. Eileen was also a member of the Woman'sInternational Club of Djakarta, Indonesia.
