This indenture made and entered into this 10th day of November 1873 byand between Albert Rodgers and Martha J. Rodgers, his wife; B. W. Rodgersand Martha A. Rodgers, his wife: E. M. Hopper and Admira C. Hopper, hiswife; W. F. Rodgers and Cordilla Rodgers, hiw wife: Isaiah Rodgers and A.Rodgers, his wife; G. W. Moore and M. E. Moore, his wife; A. H. Hulettand Ellen Hulett, his wife; W. Vaughan and Susan Vaughan, his wife of theCounty of Franklin and State of Kentucky of the first part, and EliRodgers of the County of Franklin and State of Kentucky of the secondpart, Witnesseth: That the parties of the first part for and inconsideration of the sum of nine hundred dollars to be paid as follows:Three hundred dollars on the first day of March next, Three hundreddollars on the first day of March 1875 and Three hundred dollars on thefirst day of March 1876 for which the party of the second part has givehis notes bearing date were with deed and to secure which deferredpayments a lien is expressly reserved on the premises herein conveyedhath bargained and sold, and by these presents doth bargain, sell andconvey unto the party of the second part his heirs and assigns foreverthe following described lot or parcel of land lying and being in theCounty of Franklin and State of Kentucky. ToWit: Beginning at a poplartree in John Paus (?) line, thence South with said line 100 poles to astone, thence East 200 poles to a beech and white oak, thence North 100poles to a beech, thence West 200 poles to the beginning, containing onehundred and twenty acres, be the same more or less. And, Margaret J.Hulett, wife of Fountain W. Hulett, who sold and conveyed to George W.Moore the interest of the said Fountain W. and Margaret J. Hulett in theabove described tract of land having omitted to sign and acknowledge saiddeed, now writes in this deed for the purpose of relinquishing andconveying any and all Dower or other interest she may have in said land.
To have and to hold the said herein before described and conveyedpremises, with the appurtunances unto the party of the second part hisheirs and assignes forever. And the said parties of the first part dofurther convenant and agree to and with the party of the second part hisheirs and assigns, that they will and their heirs, Executors,Administrators shall warrant and forever defend the said land andpremises from the claim of all and every person or persons whatsoever.
